Remix
Remix is a two-week series designed to change the way your middle schooler thinks about serving. In this phase, they may not always recognize their potential to make a difference or the opportunities in front of them to step up and serve. That’s why the goal in this series is to help your kid see that they can change others’ lives and make an impact in this world simply by doing one thing God says matters: serving!
WEEK 1: Do something small to serve others, even when you don’t have to. (John 13:4-5, John 13:14-15)
WEEK 2: Be a part of something big. (Matthew 28:18-20, Matthew 28:20)
REMEMBER THIS
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” Philippians 2:3-4, NIV
DO THIS
Morning Time
As your kid starts their day, let them know about something good they did or said that they didn’t think you noticed.
Drive Time
While on the go this week, ask your kid: “What is something nice that someone’s done for you lately?”
Meal Time
At a meal this week, have everyone answer this question: “What is something small you can do for someone this week that would show you care?”
Bed Time
Pray that you and your kid will see things you can do for others and take the initiative to do them.
