Now: Faith to Begin

Now helps middle schoolers see that following Jesus isn’t a someday plan — it’s a today practice. Each week invites them to notice how God is already at work and teaches simple, doable responses: listen, obey, serve, and keep going. We’ll connect purpose to small, faithful choices — right where they live: at school, at home, online. The win isn’t hype; it’s habits. Our hope is that by the end, students will know they don’t have to wait to matter. They can live their faith — now.

WEEK 1: Don’t neglect your gift. (Timothy 4:14)

WEEK 2: Excellence is your currency. (Proverbs 22:29)

WEEK 3: Rise up and build faith. (Nehemiah 2:18)

WEEK 4: Run your race with purpose. (1 Corinthians 9:24)

REMEMBER THIS
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9 NIV

DO THIS
Morning Time
As your middle schooler starts their day, remind them that when things feel unclear, they can always ask God to show them what’s right.

Drive Time
While on the go, ask, “What’s something you’re really working toward right now? Why does it matter to you?”

Meal Time
At a meal this week, talk about how it’s good to have goals, but it’s even better when we let God be part of them. Share some personal goals, and how God can be a part of them.

Bed Time
As your middle schooler gets ready for bed, pray, “God, help [child’s name] see how You’re working in their life, even when things don’t make sense.”
